Update: Tuesday Evening

Hi All,

Here is the latest news on Marty:

They placed a drain tube this evening. The fluid levels in his brain had been fluctuating since yesterday evening, rising as high as 40 at times when ideally, it needs to be below 20. The placement went well & he is resting now.

The doctors have stopped the sedation & are now waiting on Marty to wake up on his own. This could take several days to accomplish. He is on medications to help keep the fluid off of his body & required 2 units of blood.

As of now, Marty is doing as best as can be expected. Please keep up the thoughts & prayers-your support means everything to the family.

  1. Good Morning Marty: I pray that you had a restful night. You are on my mind 24/7 and I cannot wait for you to wake up. You will be amazed at all of the love that has surrounded you and your family during this time. I have been so proud of all of your friends who have come to the hospital just to hang out and be close to where you are. It's been amazing. We colored pictures for you last night. Looking forward to hanging them in your hospital room for you to enjoy. We love you Marty and we are keeping you in the light of GOD. Rest my son and allow GOD to hold you in his arms. Love, Cindy Butler
